The Parasound A52+ is a THX Ultra2 certified 5-channel power amplifier for high-quality home cinema. Their ClassA/AB design comes from legendary amplifier designer John Curl. The amplifier stages are directly coupled, that is, without capacitors or coils in the signal path.
Did you know?
Lucasfilm used Parasound amplifiers to revolutionize on-location sound recording. The incredible results have replaced the expensive productions in the recording studio.
JFET input stages and MOSFET driver stages serve a total of 40 of the 15 amp, bipolar 60 MHz output transistors. The large encapsulated power transformer delivers 2.2 kVA and offers five separate secondary windings to avoid crosstalk between channels. The complex power supply contains an impressive 164,000 uF filter capacitors to supply pulse peaks in music or cinema sound with unbridled power.
