EXPERIENCE DYNAMICS

Pix are serious main front speakers for dedicated home theaters. They offer exceptionally high acoustic performance over an extremely wide frequency range, with low harmonic distortion and excellent power handling - particularly noticeable at the third harmonic, in the critical speech range of 1kHz - 3kHz. The Pix's smooth frequency response, acoustic performance and dynamic range are features not often found in a speaker.

The Pix features a 380mm paper cone driver with a 77mm voice coil for increased linear excursion and a powerful, vented magnet assembly designed for low distortion. Its specially developed woofer offers excellent bass performance, high peak program capacity and high efficiency - it is suitable for very high sound pressure levels. The solid ferrite magnet structure contains components designed for maximum efficiency. The symmetrical gap geometry, combined with the large linear voice coil travel, ensures minimal distortion at all levels.

For the high frequency range, the Pix has a design patented by Krix, a 90 x 40 short-throw horn, which offers optimal dispersion of 90 degrees horizontally and 40 degrees vertically across the entire working range. It is powered by a compression driver with a 25mm neck, a 32mm edge-wound aluminum voice coil and a Nomex tensioner. The constant dispersion pattern means far less sound is reflected from side walls and ceilings, ensuring sound energy is focused directly on the listening position, resulting in better clarity.

The horn is attached to the bass cabinet with a sturdy bracket and can be tilted both vertically and horizontally, while the crossover in the bass cabinet is equipped with professional, close-tolerance components to ensure a consistent frequency response.
