The KRIX MX-5 basic module is the compact yet powerful entry into the MX series. It can be installed behind an acoustically transparent screen and is very powerful for its size. Combined with matching surround speakers, the MX Series offers the excitement, presence and impact of a real cinema at home.
KRIX MX-5 basic module
For movie lovers with a small to medium-sized room, the KRIX MX-5 base module offers big sound in a small package, allowing for versatile installation without taking up valuable space. With the Krix waveguide and large bass-midrange driver, movie soundtracks are played back with the articulation and power you've always wanted.
The KRIX MX-5 basic module has five compact modules that enable easy installation behind an acoustically transparent screen in a wall cavity on a shelf, cabinet or pedestal. The front baffle of each module is covered with an acoustically absorbent material to absorb sound reflected from the back of the screen or the room itself. This is a great help in acoustically treating the room to ensure better intelligibility and overall sound performance.
The main speakers feature a 205mm mid-woofer with a 38mm voice coil wound on a high-performance aluminum support. The tweeter unit is a damped, high-performance, doped 26mm fabric dome tweeter coupled with a proprietary Krix waveguide for optimal dispersion across the entire working bandwidth.
The subwoofer units feature 275mm drivers with 50mm copper voice coil, dual spider and ventilated magnet system.
