The EVO3 Sequel power cable is even more powerful than IsoTek's award-winning entry-level model EVO3 Premier thanks to a refined multi-strand geometry and active shielding.

Reviews around the world are already praising IsoTek's entry-level power cable EVO3 Premier for its excellent quality at an affordable price. It is the ideal cable to replace the standard cables supplied with most HiFi and AV components. A higher quality alternative is now the new EVO3 Sequel - a still affordable cable with some additional advantages.

The Sequel has a standard length of two meters, 50 cm longer than the Premier. Like this one, it also has silver-plated oxygen-free conductors that are twisted together to protect against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference. In addition, the sequel has an improved conductor geometry with an optimized cross section of the individual strands. Furthermore, the Sequel has better active shielding under its PVC jacket, which corresponds to the standard of the more expensive IsoTek power cables.

Construction

The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted. This established technology offers optimal protection against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.

A) Conductors: Silver-plated 99.9999% oxygen-free and high-purity copper conductors provide excellent conductivity. They are less likely (compared to solid core cables) to become brittle or brittle over time. Silver is an excellent conductor and, when combined with high-purity copper, offers impressive electrical properties.

B) Dielectric: A dielectric made of Teflon FEP (perfluoroethylene propylene) is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP has very high stress cracking resistance and a low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal material for dielectrics due to both its heat resistance and good electrical insulation.

C) Inlay: A cotton inlay gives the cable more internal stability and reduces microphonic effects. Cotton also has excellent dielectric properties.

D) Sheath: A Mylar sheath separates the inner conductor from the flexible PVC jacket. The combination of paper, cotton and PVC further improves the dielectric properties.

E) Shielding: A grounded OFC shield prevents high frequency interference and protects against common mode interference that could affect the live and neutral conductors.

The EVO3 Sequel comes with custom-made audiophile IsoTek connectors made from solid OFC copper with 24k gold-plated conductors. These offer the highest possible quality and do not become dull.
