The Episode EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R digital subwoofer amplifier delivers 500 watts of clean power into 4 ohms, making it the perfect companion for our in-wall subs. This single-channel amplifier has comfortable EQ modes and variable power options, all in a 1U chassis.

Important Note: When two subwoofers are used in parallel configuration, the rated impedance of each subwoofer should not be less than 8 ohms.

Front Panel Display: The display on the front of the amplifier shows the volume level and other settings. Enter the menu function screen using the select knob to make volume, crossover, phase and EQ adjustments. You can also adjust settings for sound mode, night mode, performance mode, and assign an IR device ID for integration into a control system. In addition, there is a lock control setting that prevents accidental changes to the settings.

Custom EQ Settings: This Episode® amplifier offers the flexibility to enable or disable EQ settings. There are 3 custom EQ settings optimized for our subwoofers.

Power Mode Selection: Intelligent power management allows the amplifier to turn on automatically, either when an audio signal is detected or by a 12V trigger from your AV receiver or processor. An illuminated push button on the front allows you to turn the amplifier on or off when set to Always-On mode.

Connections: RCA line level inputs and pass-through outputs allow connection of additional amplifiers, while the 12V trigger input and output allow connection of another 12V trigger device; The amplifier also has two sub-outputs in parallel configuration.

Rackmount Installation Option: Rack ears with three mounting points prevent the amplifier from sagging when installed in a rack, while the top cover and side vents allow for better airflow.

Control system integration: Features an IR port for connecting an IR device. Simply connect an IR repeater or IR control system to the IR port on the back of the amplifier and set the device ID in the front panel control menu.

Subsonic Circuits: The amplifier features a limiter circuit to protect the connected subwoofer from harsh or harmful distortions that could ruin not only the listening experience but also the woofer
