To put the Control4 Chime Video Doorbell into operation, a Control4 system and a certified Control4 integrator are required.

Chime also has sensitivity controls to avoid unwanted notifications from distant traffic or passersby. You can trigger a snapshot notification when someone arrives on the porch, or simply set Chime to start recording without notification when there is movement in the yard. For added peace of mind, Chime stores seven days of recordings in the cloud for playback. Offering PoE models for new construction or Wi-Fi for retrofits, Chime is available in a sleek black or satin nickel finish that blends seamlessly into any Control4 smart home.

With your help, buttons on the Control4 app or touchscreen can trigger a range of smart home events. When someone the homeowner knows arrives at the door, a single push of a button deactivates the alarm, lets them in and turns on the lights. You can also set the camera to automatically start recording when it detects motion on the porch or driveway.

Personalize up to five motion zones with individual sensitivity controls to ensure homeowners are alerted when it matters most. Program Chime to send a notification with a camera snapshot when someone walks onto the front porch, or start recording without notification if there is movement in the yard. Or set a scene that turns on the garage lights and starts recording if there is movement in the driveway after midnight. With Chime, the customization options are endless.
