Accurate colors and an authentic home theater experience, just as the director intended. With the BenQ W5800 laser projector you can experience the film scenes exactly like that. Thanks to its CinematicColor Superwide, the projector covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and Rec.709 color space.
Factory calibration as usual for the BenQ W5800
True-to-life colors and exact Hollywood colors give the owner of a BenQ W5800 excellent movie nights. Real colors convey to the viewer moods that were consciously planned by the director.
Individual factory calibration reports are included. BenQ guarantees 100% Rec.709 Delta E<1 and exact overall gray level tracking of Delta E<2. Thanks to these two steps, the DCI-P3 color table is greatly optimized.
Exclusive color temperature tuning
As usual, all BenQ home cinema projectors can be adjusted very well and offer great color temperature adjustment with 11 levels for white balance between high and low brightness. The result is accurate colors in midtones.
All-glass lens makes the BenQ W5800 a highlight
In this price range, this means almost exclusivity among laser projectors. The BenQ W5800 offers an all-glass lens system made up of 14 lenses. These are arranged in 7 groups and coated with low dispersion materials.
The advantage over plastic lenses is that superior transparency and completely clear reproduction can be expected. In addition, the color differences are drastically reduced.
HDR tone mapping with BenQ W5800 laser projector
The tone mapping has been completely revised and now offers a two-stage and improved algorithm. This greatly improves the balance between details in bright and dark scenes. With the W5800 you can experience breathtakingly good 4K HDR.
Local Contrast Enhancer for clear shadows and lighting effects
Other manufacturers look enviously at the Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE). The LCE divides images into more than 1,000 zones. Each segment is meticulously analyzed for brightness and adjusts gamma independently. The image depth becomes more vivid and dark and light details are significantly better defined.

1.6x motorized zoom & 2D lens shift
Only the Epson EH-LS12000B offers a motorized zoom lens like the new BenQ W5800. With the 1.6x optical motor zoom you can easily adjust the projection surface. It has the widest zoom ratio among BenQ projectors and gives you complete setup flexibility.
With the 2D lens shift function, the BenQ W5800 is able to adjust the image ±50% vertically and ±21% horizontally. The owner can install the laser projector very variably in the living room and enjoy perfect images with straight edges without loss of resolution
Cinematic silence from the projector
The W5800 effectively reduces ambient noise to a quiet range of 27 to 30 dB. The silence is based on a low-noise multi-channel cooling system.
Details of the BenQ W5800 - lens ring and vertical cooling fins
An intelligent arrangement of the lens ring and its backwards tilted arrangement prevents stray light. This arrangement also means that unnecessary light loss from the optical motor is prevented.
On the front of the W5800 you can also see the vertically arranged air intake slats. These remove dust from the cooling system in the best possible way and have more than proven themselves thanks to the predecessor BenQ W5700.
