The AudioQuest NRG-Y2 is a two-pin power cable with a C7 plug.

THE CHALLENGE: No matter how perfect an AC power source is, distortion occurs in every AC power cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this transient intermodulation distortion (TIM) because the induced RF noise modulates the low-level audio/video signal.

THE SOLUTION : The AudioQuest NRG-Y2 cable uses direction-controlled Long Grain Copper (LGC) strands in a Semi-Solid Concentric conductor arrangement in which the strands are packed more densely.
in which the strands are packed more tightly and do not change their position within the bundle. This design significantly reduces distortion caused by strand interactions. The greater purity and less complicated grain structure within LGC copper further reduces distortion.

Additionally, the NRG-Y2's directional silver-plated shield conductors efficiently dissipate RF interference from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third "ground" pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and exhilarating!

SEMI-SOLID CONCENTRIC PACKED LONG GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTORS: In a traditional multi-core cable, distortion is amplified by the electrical and magnetic interaction of the strands as each strand changes position within the bundle. In an AQ Semi-Solid Concentric Packed Cable, the strands within the bundle maintain their tight relationships, significantly reducing distortion.
