The second generation of the Frame Adapt HDR function continuously analyzes the maximum brightness of each image and scene of an HDR10 film. This technology dynamically adjusts the brightness, colors and detail sharpness in real time. The tone mapping algorithm developed by JVC has been completely revised.
This enables HDR display with much higher color depth and resolution. In addition, the improved algorithm ensures more precise adjustment of the tone curve, which means HDR content is displayed even brighter, more colorful and with a greater dynamic range.
A key factor in the outstanding performance of the D-ILA projector is the BLU-Escent laser technology, which works with blue laser diodes. In the DLA-NZ900, this laser achieves a maximum light output of 3,300 lumens, while the DLA-NZ800 offers an impressive brightness of 2,700 lumens. Both models are designed for a long service life of at least 20,000 operating hours, which ensures consistent performance and reliability for many years to come.
The 2nd generation of JVC 8K/e-shiftX technology doubles the resolution of a 4K signal by shifting each image by 0.5 pixels in all directions (left, right, up, down) to achieve pixel-perfect 8K resolution. The improved 8K scaling increases the sharpness performance of the projector, ensuring impressive detail even with 8K sources.
The third generation of the 0.69 inch 4K D-ILA chip offers an outstanding contrast ratio , which in combination with the dynamic laser light control achieves a dynamic contrast ratio of ∞:1 . This is made possible by analyzing the incoming video signal and automatically adjusting the amount of light.
In extremely dark scenes, the light source is switched off completely. This creates projections that are surprisingly close to human perception. The new algorithm also enables more precise control of the laser to ensure optimal individual image adjustments.
The new D-ILA models support high-resolution video signals up to 48Gbps 8K60p . Thanks to the latest, highly integrated microchips, the enormous data volumes of an 8K signal can be processed and displayed in full detail and with the full color and contrast range . The result is extremely realistic, detailed video images. With the 4K120p input and the Low Latency mode, the delay time during image processing is minimized, which guarantees optimal synchronization between control, image and sound - perfect for 4K gaming .
The new Deep Black Tone Control function adjusts the black level of dark scenes in Frame Adapt HDR mode so that night scenes and dark interiors appear much more realistic. This function optimizes the dynamic range of the new 4K D-ILA components and delivers a greater contrast range than ever before. This makes special lighting conditions at night or in dimly lit scenes appear even more lifelike and intense.
The new D-ILA projectors set standards in the reproduction of HDR content , which includes an enormous brightness range , an extended BT.2020 color space and 10-bit gradation . These models support all common HDR formats , including HDR10 for UHD Blu-ray and streaming, HLG for broadcasting and the new HDR10+ with dynamic metadata compatibility . Thanks to the higher light output and the extended contrast range, HDR films become an incomparable cinema experience that delivers realistic images in impressive quality.
